Staigue Fort, Ring of Kerry, Ireland

Staigue Fort is a well-preserved example of an Iron Age stone fort and is located about 6km West of Sneem. The fort, built between 300 and 400 AD, is thought to be the defensive stronghold of a local lord or king and represents an impressive feat of engineering for the period.
